Bodegas Monje (El Sauzal)

One of Tenerife's most established wineries (founded 1750) and a premier wine tourism destination. Located on a clifftop in El Sauzal with spectacular terraced vineyards cascading toward the Atlantic. Bodegas Monje produces distinguished wines from the Tacoronte-Acentejo D.O., including their flagship Hollera (red), Monje Dragoblanco (white from Marmajuelo grapes), and traditional sweet wines. The bodega offers guided wine tastings with local cheese pairings (€15–€35), a wine and chocolate pairing experience, and the "Vino Experience" which includes a tour of the historic cellars. The on-site restaurant serves elevated Canarian cuisine on a terrace with panoramic ocean views. Mojo-making workshops available. The winery combines 270 years of tradition with modern winemaking in a stunning setting. The Monje family has been making wine for 6 generations. Open Tuesday–Sunday.
