Rancho Texas Park (Puerto del Carmen)
Lanzarote's premier family attraction, a Wild West-themed animal park and water park combination located just outside Puerto del Carmen. Rancho Texas packs a surprising amount into its compact footprint: animal exhibits include white tigers, pumas, cougars, bison, armadillos, reptiles, and a walk-through petting zoo with goats, donkeys, and ponies that children can feed and brush. The park's signature shows are the sea lion show (performed in an outdoor amphitheater), the birds of prey demonstration (eagles, hawks, owls flying directly over the audience), and the parrot show. The park also features a large splash zone with water slides, shallow pools, and a tipping water bucket — perfect for cooling off after a morning with the animals. Pony rides are available for younger children (small additional fee). The Wild West theming includes saloon-style restaurants, covered wagons, and staff in cowboy attire, creating a fun immersive experience for children. The barbecue restaurant serves grilled meats and Canarian specialties with show seating. Evening 'Country & Western Night' events with live music, barbecue dinner, and line dancing are popular (separate ticket). Free shuttle bus from Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise, and Playa Blanca. Open daily 9:30 AM–5:30 PM. Ticket: €33 adults, €23 children (3–12), free under 3. Average visit: 4–5 hours. Best suited for families with children aged 3–14.
