Playa de Amadores
A stunning 800-metre horseshoe-shaped beach with imported white Caribbean sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters, purpose-built in 2002. The beach is protected by two breakwaters, creating calm, shallow water with gentle entry — ideal for families with children. Blue Flag certified, Amadores offers full facilities including sunbed and parasol rental, showers, changing rooms, beachside restaurants (chiringuitos), and accessible boardwalks. The beach's name means "Lovers' Beach" in Spanish. The palm-lined promenade features a selection of cafés, restaurants, and ice cream parlours with views across the bay to the Atlantic. A coastal walkway (Paseo Marítimo) connects Amadores to the neighbouring Puerto Rico resort (about 2 km). The water is exceptionally clear, making it popular for snorkeling along the rocky edges of the bay.
