Flag Beach – Kitesurfing & Windsurfing (Corralejo)

The heart of Fuerteventura's kitesurfing scene. Flag Beach (Playa del Burro) in Corralejo is one of Europe's most iconic kitesurfing beaches, named after the wind flags that line the shore. Cross-onshore trade winds (15–30 knots) and waist-deep water for hundreds of metres make it ideal for all levels. The beach sits within the Corralejo Dunes Natural Park with white-sand dunes as a backdrop. The ION CLUB Flag Beach Center is the main school (IKO certified), offering kitesurfing, windsurfing, wingfoiling, and SUP with a large rental fleet. Multiple other schools operate along the same beach stretch. The kite zone is designated to protect swimmers. The beach hosts national and international kitesurfing competitions. Best wind: May–September (June–August peak). Wetsuit: 3/2 mm year-round.
