Isla de Lobos (Lobos Island Natural Park)

A 468-hectare protected islet accessible by ferry from Corralejo (15 minutes, regular service for day trips). The island was named after the monk seals (lobos marinos) that once lived here. Features include a volcanic cone — Caldera Mountain (127 m) — offering panoramic views of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. The Punta Martiño lighthouse stands on the northern tip. A circular trail of approximately 13 km covers the entire island. The southern beaches (Playa de la Concha) offer calm, shallow turquoise waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling. A permit is required to visit (obtainable online or at the Corralejo ferry office). No facilities on the island — bring water and supplies. Maximum daily visitors are limited to protect the ecosystem.
