A purpose-built resort town located 10 km south of Fuerteventura Airport, popular with families and golf enthusiasts. The town features a protected artificial lagoon ideal for safe swimming and a 18-hole golf course (Fuerteventura Golf Club). The 18th-century Castillo de San Buenaventura (also known as Castillo de Caleta de Fuste) overlooks the main beach and is one of the island's defensive towers built to protect against pirate attacks. The sheltered bay offers calm, shallow waters perfect for families with children. The marina area features restaurants, bars, and water sports facilities. The town is also home to the British School of Fuerteventura.
