Oasis Wildlife Fuerteventura (La Lajita)

Fuerteventura's largest and most established animal park, formerly known as Oasis Park, located on the southeast coast near the fishing village of La Lajita. The park is set within 800,000 m² of botanical gardens with over 2,500 plant species and is home to more than 250 animal species. Unique claim to fame: the largest camel reserve in Europe (over 150 dromedaries) — visitors can take a camel safari ride through the arid landscape with Atlantic Ocean views. The park is divided into themed zones: the African Savannah (giraffes, zebras, antelopes), the Asian zone (elephants, lemurs from a walk-through enclosure), the reptile house (one of the largest snake collections in Europe with over 100 species), and the Australian zone (kangaroos, emus). Daily shows include: sea lion presentation, birds of prey demonstration, and the park's famous parrot show. The 'Lemur Experience' allows visitors to enter a free-roaming enclosure with ring-tailed lemurs who often jump onto visitors' shoulders. Children's facilities include a petting zoo ('La Granja' with goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs), pony rides, and a splash zone. The Camel Safari (€12 adults, €8 children, not included in park entry) is the signature experience — a 30-minute ride along a trail overlooking the Jandía peninsula. The park operates a free shuttle from Corralejo, Caleta de Fuste, and Morro Jable. Open daily 9 AM–6 PM. Tickets: €35 adults, €25 children (4–11), free under 4. Average visit: 4–6 hours.
