Pabellón Municipal de Valverde

The main municipal sports facility on El Hierro, located in the island's capital Valverde at approximately 600 m elevation. Managed by the Cabildo Insular de El Hierro, the facility includes a fully equipped fitness gym with free weights, resistance machines, and cardio equipment, an indoor multi-sport court (basketball, futsal, volleyball, handball), outdoor sports courts (tennis, paddle), and changing facilities with showers. Group fitness classes available including aerobics, yoga, and dance. The facility's high-altitude location makes it a unique training environment. Affordable municipal rates (~€2-3 per session). Open weekdays 8:00 AM–9:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM–2:00 PM. The centre is the primary indoor sports venue for the island's small but active population of approximately 11,000 residents. Nearby outdoor activities include the El Hierro trail running routes and the annual Meridian Zero Trail race.
