Playa de Valle Gran Rey
The main beaches of Valle Gran Rey: a 1 km stretch of black volcanic sand split into sections — Playa de La Calera (northern, more exposed), Playa de Vueltas (harbour-adjacent, calm), and Playa de La Puntilla (central, main swimming beach). The water is generally calm and clear, excellent for swimming. La Puntilla offers sunbed rental, showers, and beachfront restaurants. The beach promenade stretches the full length of the bay with restaurants, bars, and shops. The area is known for spectacular sunsets viewed from the beach and cliff-top bars. Ferry connections to Playa de Santiago and San Sebastián from Vueltas harbour.
