Playa de la Cueva

A scenic pebble and black sand beach on La Gomera's north coast, located near San Sebastián at the mouth of the Barranco de la Villa. The beach is backed by dramatic cliffs and a cave (cueva) that gives it its name. Less developed than the southern beaches, it offers a more natural experience. The water is generally calm in summer but can have strong currents in winter — check conditions before swimming. Access via a paved road and staircase from the GM-1 highway, approximately 10 minutes from San Sebastián. No facilities, bring everything needed. Popular with locals at weekends.
