Güigüí

A remote, unspoiled black sand beach on Gran Canaria's wild northwestern coast, accessible only by boat from Puerto de las Nieves (Agaete) or via a demanding 5-hour round-trip hike from the GC-200 mountain road. The trail descends 700m through the Tamadaba Natural Park with stunning Atlantic views. The beach itself is pristine and often nearly empty — bring all supplies including water and sun protection. Swimming requires caution due to strong currents and no lifeguard presence. This is one of the last truly wild beaches in the Canary Islands and a favourite among experienced hikers.
