Telde
Gran Canaria's second-largest municipality by population, with approximately 102,000 inhabitants. The historic quarter of San Francisco and San Juan features 16th–17th century architecture, including the Basílica de San Juan Bautista. The city was an important pre-Hispanic settlement and today is a major agricultural and commercial centre for the island's eastern region.
