Corralejo Dunes Trail
A spectacular coastal hiking route through the Corralejo Dunes Natural Park. The GR-131 long-distance trail passes through the dunes, but shorter circular routes of 5–10 km are possible starting from Corralejo town or from beach parking areas along the FV-1. The route follows the beach and dune edges with views of Isla de Lobos and Lanzarote across the water. Best walked in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the intense midday heat. No shade — bring substantial water, sun protection, and sturdy sand-friendly footwear. The dunes are a designated protected area — stay on marked paths to avoid damaging the fragile ecosystem.
